Caldarroste al Forno

1: Soak the chestnuts in water with a glass of white wine for at least 1 hour.

2: After soaking, remove them from the water and make a cross incision on the flat side using a sharp knife.

3: Place the chestnuts on a baking tray, ensuring they are spread out.

4: Bake in a preheated oven at the maximum temperature (around 230°C) for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on their size.

5: Remove from the oven and cover with a cloth for 5 minutes before serving to keep them soft and facilitate peeling.
